Heart of Revival Culture IS…
This will be short, because it’s actually very simple.
What is the Heart of the new and modern Revival Culture?
Simple.
Presence.
God’s Presence.
Manifest Presence.
Jesus.
King Jesus, King of Glory.
Manifest Presence of HolyGhost.
Tabernacle.
Dwelling Place.
Father encounter.
EMPTY NOISE WITHOUT PRESENCE
Revivalists and Revival Culture is nothing without the living, active, present, interactive, 24/7, constant ABIDING and MANIFEST PRESENCE of GOD.
Yes, it’s experiential.
Yes, it’s ‘Pentecostal’ in nature.
Yes, it’s palpable and He makes Himself known physically.
Yes, it moves in the supernatural and outside the ‘intellectual church’ of the last few centuries.
Yes, it’s founded on the full revelation and connection with the Holy Scriptures.
Yes, it’s expressed and explored in long, energetic, engaged gatherings of worship, adoration and abandonment.
Yes, it’s all about our YES to the High King and Holy God.
Yes, it’s about holiness and obedience.
Yes, it’s about Ekklesia and community.
Yes, it reaches into the history and unity of one, holy, apostolic and ‘catholic’ church.
Yes, it’s loud and messy and ever-moving.
BUT, the lynch-pin, the nuclear reactor, the beating heart and blood, the life-energy and breath, the existence and substance IS GOD. His Presence. His dwelling with us.
There’s a common saying in our Revival Culture: “if God doesn’t show up, ain’t nothin’ gonna come of it.”
It’s all empty noise without His Manifest Presence.
TAKE-AWAY: Recipe for Being in His Presence:
