Great Communion Revival

THE MAIN POINT:

The Communion Revival was ‘realized’ and began take-off during the COVID pandemic (2020) and is exploding today.

Alongside a number of other ‘Revival Flows, it is seen as an important ‘branch’ of the current Great Awakening that is under way in North America.

IT IS HAPPENING

The Great Communion Revival is under way.

Starting in 2020, it has grown to be a major ‘flow’ within the Church in our day. Break-out gatherings and events have resulted since 2020, such as the Oct 2024 at the US Capital Mall and the Redding CA April 2025 gathering.

Focused on the Encounter with Jesus that the sacrament of Communion brings us to, many have experienced extraordinary miracles, healings, signs, wonders and deliverance at these ‘bonfire’ events. Significant numbers of people have ‘bent the knee to Christ’ as their Lord in these meetings and events.

I know the Communion Revival is real. I’m a witness and a participant, and it’s a REAL flowing Visitation of God in our day, all across North America.

It flows along other Revival branches and lava-channels, such as the Campus Revival that is blowing up within college and university students. The ‘Asbury Revival’ of 2023 was just the better-known Visitation of God in that flow with hundreds of US College-University campuses seeing Visitations of God, with thousands of 20-somethings coming to Jesus and entering the Kingdom of God.

It flows well with many expressions of Revival that are happening right now in North America… the Baptize California movement, the Let Us Worship explosion, the New Jesus Awakening phenom that flows with the multi-site and multi-church Revival Culture movement… the explosion of Prayer Houses just about everywhere, with every Prayer movement that’s been around for many years experiencing a logarithmic explosion in the number of people and events… the David’s Tent and TentAmerica movement…

It flows well with the mega-events that have been up-and-running for over a decade now… the Send, Passion, the touring ‘worship nights’ with Bethel and Elevation and Jesus Image and… packed out to capacity, each experiencing Holy Moments of the distinct Presence of God in powerful ways…

The Barna group has recently released significant data that indicates a Great Awakening IS under way:

Quote: “According to Barna’s latest data, 66 percent of all U.S. adults say they have made a personal commitment to Jesus that is still important in their life today. That marks a 12-percentage-point increase since 2021, when commitment levels reached their lowest in more than three decades of Barna tracking. This shift is not only statistically significant—it may be the clearest indication of meaningful spiritual renewal in the United States…”

Christian Broadcast Network reports that pre-publication data from the Pew Research Group and the American Bible Society concur with this significant upward bump in the number of ‘personal commitments to Jesus’, especially with greater than 50% of the ‘Gen Z’ age bracket:

Revival and Awakening is here! Now! 2025!

The Great Communion Revival is being recognized as a tributary of a Great Awakening of North America.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES THE ‘COMMUNION REVIVAL’?

Communion is considered a ‘foundational sacrament’ of all Christian churches and Denominational flows since Jesus instituted it at the ‘Last Supper’. In recent days, many (of us) have re-discovered the POWER of encountering Jesus in Communion. Focusing on the Encounter with Jesus and the HolySpirit power released in that Encounter, we gather together and take Communion with great intentionality and regularity.

The distinguishing factor in ‘Communion Revival circles is that Communion is seen as a major ‘channel of Grace and Presence’, and a great deal of focus is placed on all of us meeting Him at the Communion table.

Some ‘Communion Revival Culture’ Churches have made the taking of Communion together part of every gathering, and many of us are actually taking Communion in our homes thruout the week… even daily…

THE GREAT COMMUNION REVIVAL 2025

Great Communion Revival events and gatherings are hours long, will launch with long sessions of ‘For The One’ worship [90 min-2 hrs], then incorporates Communion as we move into times of Presence thru continued Worship+Adoration and ministry opportunities [signs, wonders, healings, miracles, deliverances, as led by HolySpirit].

There’s been thousands of salvations and hundreds of healings and miracles connected to activities of the Great Communion Revival… and we’re just getting started!

We in the ‘Communion Revival Movement’ also see Communion as a place where Heaven is being released on Earth, and that salvations and redemption is being released on our Nations and Peoples. We use these events to ‘cry out’ for the unsaved, pray for the ‘prodigals’ in our families to return to Jesus, and for the forces of evil movements in our world to be broken and rendered powerless through the Blood of Jesus applied.

Two thousand of us recently gathered in Redding, CA for a ‘Great Communion Revival’ meeting.

Here is the 5-hour YouTube replay:

We were there… impacted forever!

THE GREAT AWAKENINGS

Scholars and historians dis-agree on ‘how many Great Awakenings’ has the United States experienced.

Some say Two. Others say Five. Others just really don’t know.

There is general agreement on the First and Second Great Awakening.

The ‘First Great Awakening’ in the USA started in the 1730’s and to the end of the 1740’s. Ignited thru the ministries of George Whitefield, Solomon Stoddard [Jonathan Edward’s grandfather], and Jonathan Edward’s himself [famously his 1734 sermons on ‘Justification by Faith Alone’}, revival and intense ‘return to God’ burned thru the newly-settled American colonies.

The ‘Second Great Awakening’ in the USA is dated 1795 to 1810 and captivated a wide number of Denominations and movement. Names such as James McGready, John McGee, and Barton W. Stone are noted, but most notably Charles Finney. As well, the ‘Circuit riders’ were itinerant preachers, often Methodists, who traveled on horseback to spread the gospel and lead revivals in frontier areas, contributing significantly to the Second Great Awakening’s widespread influence.

The Revival and outpouring of the late 1800’s involving Dwight L Moody is named by a number of authors as ‘the fifth Great Awakening’.

Other notable ‘outpourings’, the Azuza Street Revival started April 14, 1906 in Los Angeles and the Jesus Revolution of the late 1960’s into the late 1970’s.

For sure, America has experienced a number of Revivals and Outpourings.

Some are calling Great Communion Revival a ‘Great Awakening’… which one, up for discussion, but certainly an Awakening.

BUSINESS NOT AS USUAL ANY LONGER

The Great Communion Revival, the Asbury Outpouring, the explosion of conversions to Christ within the GenZers… not just how, but why would the old wineskins of doing Church, especially the ‘Invitational model’ be considered going forward?

Since a great deal of US Churches want to stick to their ‘ways’ of ‘doing Church’… “well, we like it and that’s the way we want to do it”…

Many in the Movement are forming their OWN Churches, since New Wine always needs new wineskins!

?? THE END OF MODERN CHURCH LIFE??

We will see how ‘adaptable and change-able’ modern Christian leaders, Churches and Denominations can be, but SOMETHING NEW is emerging in our day… since [not IF] we are in a Great Awakening, expect much to change and morph in the coming years…
