Father’s Secret Place Open: No Distancing Allowed

“My children,

the Secret Place is open for your Father’s business.

Create a space, come and join Me.

I invite you.

Come, sit with Me. Sit in My shadow. Let’s talk.

In the Secret Place with Me, no distancing is allowed in My Presence…”

This morning, in reading my ‘morning Facebook’ worship-leader groups, there were two distinct posts from worship leaders on book-end sides of the US, saying the same thing. It was something like this:

“My senior Pastor is strongly pushing for something different than ‘streaming worship’ ASAP… they are getting a huge amount of push-back from numerous congregants who say they can’t ‘worship’ or ‘pray’ on a live-stream or at home… they say they need to have their ‘church environment’ to be able to worship at all… they need to be in their familiar setting… they need the music, the Pastor, the preaching, the service… nothing else will do, especially that on-line stuff… these people say ‘it’s like the heavens are closed for business!’ ”

Both posts added,

“…and the Pastor said the church can’t withstand the huge dip in offering income for any more than a few more weeks…”

They both then asked THE right question,

“What? Why such a great number of regular congregants have to have the trappings of a church meeting and a Pastor to worship or pray? They can’t connect with Jesus in their daily lives? What about the Prayer Closet? What about the Secret Place with God? Does it even exist for them? Do they have any kind of private devotional life with the Lord? What have we not taught them? Where have we failed?”

Ouch, ouch, ouch!

Then I heard the Voice of the Lord say, “write a blog post, and prophesy that “the Father’s Secret Place is open: No ‘distancing’ is allowed there”.

All this ‘physical distancing’ and ‘shelter in place’ is a HUGE opportunity for ‘Secret Place’, ‘Minister Unto the Lord’, ‘Prayer Closet’, ‘devotional’ time… be in the Presence…

There’s a meme flying around Facebook that goes something like: “I opened up your schedule, cancelled all those meetings, got you home, made time for us… I’m here, waiting for you… GOD”

There are Scriptures to be given, prophetic words to be received, perspective available, futures and destinies to be poured out…

…and The Presence of the Father!

The Secret Place is open for business; may be one of the few places on the continent where no ‘distancing’ is allowed…

Matthew 6:6

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Exodus 34:5-7

5 Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord. 6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Genesis 28:16-17

16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” 17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”
