EveryDay Presence [Quarantine Week 48]

COVID Quarantine on 3/11 is coming close to Year 1 (Week 52).

I feel the Lord calling me to a greater recognition of Him 24/7, ever-Present, always there.

It’s more than the ‘omni-Present attribute’, and WAY more than the ‘knowing that God is with me and for me’.

It’s more like being aware of the oxygen in the air I breathe… breathe it in, breathe it out…

Psalm 73: 23-26

Yet I am always with You;
    You hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with Your counsel,
    and afterward You will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but You?
    And earth has nothing I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
    but God is the strength of my heart
    and my portion forever.

Psalm 139:7-12

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from Your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
  even there Your hand will guide me,
    Your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
    and the light become night around me,”
    even the darkness will not be dark to You;
    the night will shine like the day,
    for darkness is as light to You.

Pastor Chris Cruz from Bethel recently tossed out this ‘how to find His Presence’ everyday…  www.bethel.tv

<>don’t limit God’s Presence to a church service or devotional time

<>recognize Him all around me

<>watch Him fill the ordinary moments, and bring peace and alignment

<>I can purpose to have slow-down moments every day, moments specifically for that connection… set a smart-phone reminder…

<>when that over-whelmed thing comes on me, as a connected question: “Who is the King of my life today?” and re-focus as needed

<>be simple. Ask Him a question. Express gratitude in the moment. Don’t complicate this!

<>don’t minimize what God can do for me and in me in just one minute of connection

<>remember He’s with me in work and rest

<>become expectant how His Presence can produce the greatest productivity and leadership wisdom.

TAKE-AWAY:

[Thanks, Pastor Chris]
