I just finished listening to this recent podcast that’s hosted by the VIneyard peeps [remember them? They’ve never left, and they’re getting stronger these days…]
It hosts Mike Pilavachi, the leader of a UK movement called Soul Survivor. Besides hosting ‘youth summer events’ for a couple decades now [where hundreds of kids come to a relationship with JESUS every year], Mike was the pastor who rose up worship leaders Matt Redman and Tim Hughes, amongst others.

Mike offers a unique insight to the ‘modern worship movement’, it’s ‘industry push’ and how modern worship MAY have moved from a simple, passionate love-song-to-Jesus expression to ‘chasing a career’ as a ‘main-stage worship leader’.
Towards the end, Mike offers his [prophetic] voice that we are moving to a ‘Worship Reformation’, and un-packs what that is looking like.
