SORRY.

This Blog has been seriously ignored in this season of my life. Major family tragedies. We’ve kept up on our traveling, ministry, and speaking schedule in the middle of all the messy stuff.

SORRY.

However hard this ‘desert experience’ has been, The Presence of my Father has been powerfully there, and I’m ‘digging deeper’ and learning the power of the prophetic word over me in 2015:

“So much more than ‘the Lord is with me’ is to be able to say ‘I’m with HIM'”…

I’m learning something different than the broken and hurt Elijah did when the dealings of GOD were flowing in his life… something really important for me…

(from 1 Kings 19)

So he [Elihah] got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night.

11 The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”

(note: Elijah didn’t budge yet)

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

(note: stood…)

Then a voice (note: THE Voice) said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

The lesson for me of this season? When the rocks are flying and the ground is shaking and the heat gets turned up… better stability than ‘trying to stand’, it’s time to fall on my knees.

Maybe Elijah had a better capacity to worship and hear God standing there (important to note that the Lord never rebuked Elijah for standing)… but I’m finding that on my knees, my perception improves, I’m better reminded that “HE is GOD and I am not”, and I experience breakthrough faster. Better stability to ‘go low’ in His Presence…

TAKE-AWAY:

Door-keeping at the portal of the Open Heaven for me means quickly falling to my knees in the Presence… ‘go low’…
