Sunday, March 29, 2020… Quarantine Day 11 for us.
I was praying this morning, and felt the Lord give me some ‘fresh bread’ for the Worship Leaders in my circle… encouragement to ‘think outside the [church building] box and step out as the Levites we’re anointed to be’!
Worship Leaders ARISE in this dark day! Shine forth!
I sensed the Lord wants to let every Worship person… musicians (especially guitar players, mobile instruments), production, singers, leaders, pastors, roadies/tekk… that you are being CALLED UP TO SERVE as the modern-day Levites in this dark and difficult day!
Of course, I felt He gave me some specific things to encourage all you Levites to DO… here is PART 1 of 2 parts…
[1] Minister Unto The Lord Daily
Be totally committed to spend specific time with Him in private prayer, worship and the Word. Minister unto the Lord (MUTL) in a private place, each day. Don’t let the ‘cares of life’, especially ramped up in the emotion of this pandemic, to interfere with making that happen.
Simple: you + your Bible + pen and paper + silence phone + alone in a room + guitar + 30 minutes (or more)…
1 Chronicles 16: 4-6
4 He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to extol,thank, and praise the Lord, the God of Israel…5 They were to play… regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.
[2] Seek His Face
Feed on the Daily Bread of His Presence. Let that be your portion and cup in this day of difficulty. Call upon the Presence of God, especially during your day.
Psalm 27: 7-9
Hear my voice when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
More to come tomorrow.
