Monday, March 30, 2020… Quarantine Day 12 for us.

Here’s the continuation of our CALLED-UP to-do list (see previous Blog post)

[3] Seek the Lord for His Song of the Day

As a modern-day Levite, seek out the holy Song that He wants you to sing that day! Consider this ‘new song’ each day as the daily Manna from Heaven!

Psalm 96: 1-3

Sing to the Lord a new song;
    sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
    proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
    his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Sing a well-known song. Sing a hymn. Maybe even let the Holy Spirit give you a new musical phrase or lyric, and sing that (man, that would be truly ‘a new song’, no?)

[4] Sing It Out!! Everywhere! All Day! Wherever You Go.. and Wherever You Stay-In-Place!

That ‘Song of the Day’ the Lord gives to you… sing it out! Be intentional! Get people to join with you, Levite! Treat every situation as a ‘sanctuary’ (like your Church service), and whoever is there as the congregation. Lead the song! Sing it out! Let it wash grace and strength over people, bringing the Presence of God into the room!

You’re a Worship Leader! You’re a Levite. Do it!

Ephesians 5: 15-20

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[5] Lead Your Fellow Prisoners in Worship

Many in the world are feeling ‘imprisoned’ by all this quarantine and forced-to-stay-at-home stuff.

Paul and Silas brought freedom from demonic oppression to a young girl in Ephesus, and… got tossed into prison. However, they did NOT let circumstances dictate their Worshiping Hearts from being in The Presence of God…

Acts 16: 24-33

24 When he received these orders, he (the jailor) put (Paul and Silas) in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”

29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized.

Leading out that Song of the Day, and entering the Presence of God will not only minister freedom to you, but it can free the people around you from the prison of fear and dread in this dark day! Suicide and depression will flee! People in despair will receive grace and life!

[5] Don’t Be Shy-Play Your Instrument!

One thing that the Scriptures teach is that sacred music and song can minister powerfully, and expel the presence of demons as the Spirit of God begins to fill the hearts of those in the room.

1 Samuel 16:23 (KJV)

23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took a harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Guitarists, strum the chords from worship songs, and pray that even the music from that harp will dispel the evil that is trying to grasp the souls in that place!

Don’t be afraid to sit outside your house and strum those chords! Release prophetic worship into the environment! Let your fellow neighborhood ‘prisoners’ here the beauty from heaven!

TAKE-AWAY:

We Were Made For This Time

God did not release the CoronaVirus on mankind, but He is the King who is in Charge of all things. In this dark day, He is releasing HIMSELF and His Presence to us for healing, comfort, strength and provision in this world-wide emergency.

I also believe that the Lord is using this ‘shaking of all things’ to prepare us for something never-before-seen-in-human-history! There is Heaven breaking into Earth revival and breakthrough coming.

Worship Leaders, let holy Incense arise! We were made for this day! We were called to lead holy GOD-WORSHIP! Don’t put your light of Worship-leading under a bowl; put it on a lamp-stand to light the whole house of God’s people… and the neighbors…

Matt 5: 13-16

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
